A diploma in Manuscriptology and Paleography is a full-time 1-year postgraduate course. Manually written reports are used in manuscriptology to investigate history and writing. To propel research and eagerness for Indian learning systems with an explicit complement on unique duplicates, the Mission deals with national-level workshops.
Manuscriptology focuses on the study of Indian texts because all the Ayurveda literature was originally written in Sanskrit. As such, this field enables students to conduct critical editions of these documents. Manuscriptology focuses on the documentation, cataloging, and critical edition of Ayurveda texts.
Eligibility Criteria for Diploma in Manuscriptology and Paleography
1. Candidate must have passed B.A. (Hons.) / B.A. under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Institute/ University.
2. The Honours subject at B.A. (Hons.) level should be Indian Languages/ Oriental Languages/ History /AIHC/ Philosophy/ History of Art/ Linguistics.
3. Candidates who passed 50% marks in the above subjects can also apply.
Admission Process
1. Some colleges choose aspirants on the basis of their marks scored in the 10+2 examination.
2. Most the reputed institutes conduct entrance tests alongside personal interviews for admissions.
3. On the basis of the aspirant’s performance in an entrance test and the personal interview.
